Is this whey concentrate or isolate?

Concentrate. WPC80 - 80% protein by weight, with small amounts of fat and lactose left in for flavour and lower cost per gram. Isolate strips them out but costs significantly more. If you’re not severely lactose-intolerant, concentrate is the better value.

Why is this so much cheaper than mainstream whey brands?

Direct-to-consumer. Same GMP-certified facilities the big brands use. We just don’t pay for shelf rent, distributor margin, sponsored athletes, or matte-black tubs - so you pay for the protein, not the marketing.

What's actually in the bag?

Whey Protein Concentrate (92-98% by weight), natural flavour, sucralose for sweetening (chocolate adds cocoa). Allergen: contains milk, may contain soy traces. Every milligram disclosed on the label.

Is it gluten-free?

Whey is naturally low in gluten, but it is made on shared equipment so we don't label it certified gluten-free.

* NOT SUITABLE FOR BOWEL DISEASE * I have been using this for a while. I was unaware that it can potentially trigger a flare of Ulcerative Colitis or Crohns disease. This has been a good (but very sweet) product, that I was mixing with plain whey. Now I know it's dangers for ibd sufferers, I will not be purchasing any products with sucralose in it. I may have to change brand. Sad.

Your NoWhey Whey Protein went from $45 to $50 at the beginning of the year. Most people could deal with that as it had been $45 for a long time. It has now gone up to $54 which is price gouging- milk solids commodities index hasn't increased and you're just doing an NZ Muscle and milking it. Won't be shopping with you again.

I used to buy the nzmuscle whey protein powder in one of the chocolate flavours, i honestly cannot tell the difference between that and this one and this one is so much cheaper. its a decent flavour (its not delicious or anything but i have never tasted any protein powder that is so compared to others i have tasted it is very good) and it is nice and smooth. I would defiently recomend

Pricing is good since greedy corporations are targeting wholefoods and now protein supplements. The chocolate flavor is nice but is not rich enough. It has no fillers, however the sucralose is a bother. Please make a stevia version and more flavors, I would stick to your brand if you make these changes.
